Who we are
yourdayofbirth.com (“we,” “us”) is operated by Your Day of Birth, Northville, Michigan, United States. Contact us at contact@yourdayofbirth.com or through our contact page.
Information you enter
Your birthdate is used in your browser to work out your results. We don’t save it and we don’t link it to you. The address of a results page (for example /march-14-1990) contains the date so you can share the page, which means the date appears in our web server’s ordinary access logs, like any page address. Those logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are not tied to you.
If you look up the weather on your birth date, the city you type and the date are sent to our weather provider, Open-Meteo, to find that day’s weather. We don’t save them or link them to you.
Birthdays you add to “Never miss a birthday” are saved in your browser’s local storage on your device. We cannot see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Contact form
If you send us a message, we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply. We use them only to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation in our email.
Email newsletter
If you subscribe, we collect your email address, your zodiac sign and, if you choose to give it, your birthday month and day. We use them to send the weekly newsletter and an optional birthday email through our email provider, Brevo. You can unsubscribe with the link in every email.
Advertising and cookies
We show ads served by [Google AdSense / ad network]. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage personalized ads at Google Ad Settings or aboutads.info.
Affiliate links (for example, jewelry and gift links) may set cookies so the retailer knows we referred you. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
We also store your cookie choices in your browser so we can remember them.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are popular, but only if you allow analytics in our cookie settings. It collects standard information such as pages viewed, browser type and approximate location based on IP address. We do not send the birthdates you enter to analytics.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others), you may have the right to access, delete or correct personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. To make a request, email contact@yourdayofbirth.com or use our contact page and choose “Privacy request,” or use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our footer. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date shows when it last changed.
